The Time When Me and Sadness Got lost In Riley's Mind

 Riley's mind 

Everything began when Riley and us, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust, and I were trying our best to adapt to a new life in San Francisco, that meant new school, new house, and no friends. But we kind of lost control of Riley. Sadness touches a joyous memory and somehow turns it sad. I panicked and tried to convinced Sadness to stay away from the memories. Then Sadness touched a core memory, all of them fall out of their slots. I scrambled to reclaim them, but I, Sadness, and all the core memories were
sucked out of the command center and marooned in the wilds of Riley’s mind.

When trying to stay positive and find a way out, at the long term storage, we found Riley’s old imaginary friend Bing Bong. Me and Sadness follow his lead to the Train of Thought, which we believed would be able to return us to the command center. However, we miss the train because of Bing Bong “shortcut”. But he knew another way to catch train by passing Imagination Land. We were walking and Bing Bong saw The Rocket Wagon, a makeshift vehicle created by Riley when she was little, fall into the memory dump. Bing Bong started crying because he wanted to take Riley to the moon again. Sadness comforts him which shocks me, and I realized Sadness is important and can be helpful in making people feel better. We then board the train and start making progress, but suddenly the train stopped because it doesn't run when Riley is sleeping.

So, we crashed Dream Productions and try to make a scene to wake up Ryley. Instead I lose Bing Bong and the core memories into the prison of Subconscious. Me and Sadness follow Bing Bong there and escape. We woke up Jangles, a clown who Riley’s fears, and lure him back to the classroom set Jangles crashed in and Riley wakes up. We were back on track in the train.

Riley was losing her personality lands, and Riley decided to run away to Minnesota. Meanwhile, I failed in my desperate attempt to return alone to the command center. Instead, me and Bing Bong end up in the memory dump, where Bing Bongs begins to fade into forgetfulness. I escape the dump, thanks to Bing Bong’s decision to sacrifice himself. Me and Sadness rushed back to the command center to restore the core memories and convince Riley to return home.

 

Then, Sadness was in charge of the console, Riley was able to feel sad which led her to go back and reach out to her parents for comfort. Her parents understood what Riley was going through, which made her feel relieved and loved, hence, bringing her happy feelings again. This family bond made me and sadness worked together to create a new core memory.
