Emotions and How We Work

😡😟😄😭😒

An emotion is your brain's creation of what your bodily sensations mean, in relation to what is going on around you in the world. In every waking moment, your brain uses past experience, organized as concepts, to guide your actions and give your sensations meaning.

We are Emotions that have a purpose. Us five stand at the central control of Riley's brain, known as Headquarters. Our job is to help Riley figure out an internal decision, oversee her stream of consciousness and observe and assist with the storage and recall of short and long term memories. Each emotion has a unique role: Fear and Anger help Riley determine her flight-or-fight response. Disgust helps her stay away from unsavory situations. Sadness, ultimately, helps Riley gain empathy and sympathy during times of loss. And I help Riley stay away from painful experiences and seek out happy ones.

Emotions are an essential part of life and there is nothing wrong with feeling sad, angry, fear or disgust. My emotion boosts their immune system, fight stress and pain, improves the chance of living a longer life. But is crucial to not force happiness. Sadness is vital to a well-being, it connects deeply with people. Is important part of a healthy and emotional life. Mindfully embrace rather than support trough emotions.
